Adams Thanks to a great team of local volunteers and a growing core of supporters, PAWS is making great strides in Adams County! Conewago VCA Animal Hospital in Hanover continues to provide surgeries for homeless cats, including 25+ free surgeries each quarter. We’re so grateful for their support that we were pleased to present Dr. Debbie and Madelaine from Conewago VCA with a PAWS Special Appreciation Award during our January volunteer celebration in Camp Hill. What a great role model for all veterinarians who want to help eliminate the overpopulation of free-roaming cats in the county. In January, PAWS held its first higher-volume Trap Neuter Return Clinic for homeless cats at the Irishtown Firehall. Thanks to the folks there for donating the use of the space so that we could help lots of animals. We spayed or neutered 75 homeless cats that day! Check out the homeless cats section of our Website for photos and other info about that great day! If you live in Adams County and would like to support the PAWS Spay Neuter Program by helping with our reduced-fee voucher program for owned animals or our TNR program, give us a call at 717-957-8122, Box #3 or email Christine. You can help prevent needless suffering with a gift of your time or a little something from your checkbook. Every hour and each dollar make a difference! AND DON’T MISS AN EVENING FOR PAWS, APRIL 21 AT THE HANOVER COUNTRY CLUB! IT WILL BE A GREAT NIGHT FOR THE ANIMALS. CHECK OUT MORE INFO HERE. |
